PQ Media's, “Out-of-Home Forecast 2007-2001”, the growth
rate of alternative out-of-home media far exceeded that of the overall advertising
and media sector. While the
overall advertising industry expanded 6.4% in 2006, total out-of-home
advertising increased a mere 10.6% while spending on digital
billboards and displays increased 55.4% in 2006.
OAAA: A tiny fraction of billboards are digital (500-plus
out of an estimated 450,000 total bill-boards in the United States). Over
